A Bible Revival in Ramat Gan

I’ve recently returned from another visit to Ramat Gan, Israel where the first trial run of the Bible curriculum was celebrated with the launch of Ramat Gan’s first annual High School Bible Quiz. Ramat Gan’s mayor, Mr. Israel Zinger, claims that this project is already causing a kind of “Bible Revival” in his city!

The top twelve finalists in the competition were tested on stage at the Wohl Center at Bar Ilan University where an audience excitedly rooted for their favorite 9th grade contestants. The winner was a young lady named Eden. Her prize is a free trip for her and her teacher to the United States to do a little site seeing.

Surrounded by cheering friends, Eden could hardly speak through all of her tears of joy and excitement. Eden shared that while she’s a good student in all her classes, her special love has always been for the Bible.

As this first pilot test comes to a close, I just stand in awe! This was not even on our radar two years ago and now it seems that the trial will be expanded during the 2015-2016 school year to include an additional 10,000 Israeli students.

The adventure continues!
